Name: Lauren Wilson

Title: Paid Search and Social Associate

How long have you worked at Catalyst?

I’m still a newbie – only 4 months!

How long have you worked in search and social and what type of clients have you worked on?

This is my first real job out of college! Before working at Catalyst, I had internships working for clients ranging from non-profits to production companies. For them I assisted with social campaigns as well as worked hand in hand with their digital communications team.

How did you get your start in search and social?

I learned more and more about search and social while I was in school and found that it is a great field to start my career in media.

What do you like most about working at Catalyst?

My team! There is so much trust and open communication here – it makes my day-to-day responsibilities much easier.

What has been your greatest achievement or success in search and social?

I am very proud of the growth that I have experienced so far on the job. I have a great team guiding me as I start my career in this field.

In your opinion, what is the most important search/social trend or change for 2020?

I think the most important trend will be consumer privacy. It has been a prevalent issue that has impacted clients in terms of targeting.

If you had to give one recommendation to an advertiser who wants to use search or social marketing to achieve business results, what would it be?

From what I have learned so far, I would recommend conducting as many tests as possible to get to know your audience.

I am a HUGE Lady Gaga fan. I’ve been her for Halloween too many times and I know I will again soon.
