Harnessing the Power of Smart Shopping Campaigns

The solution was to implement Smart Shopping campaigns for each product SKU and test results compared to the client’s existing Standard Shopping campaigns.

As part of the test, Catalyst created remarketing lists and lookalike audiences for each product SKU, including website page visitors who didn’t purchase. Additionally, we used historical performance to give automated bidding strategies realistic benchmarks for spend and ROI, with the goal of maintaining current performance and improving over time as more data was collected.

Standard Shopping campaigns show ads on the Google search results page and the Google Shopping tab when a user searches a keyword that relates to a product in an advertiser’s shopping feed.

Smart Shopping Campaigns

In addition to showing ads on the Google search results page and Google Shopping tab, Smart Shopping campaigns also allow dynamic remarketing and display ads which can be shown to users on GDN, YouTube, and Gmail.
