Name: Anthony Quagliata
Title: Paid Search and Social Associate
How long have you worked at Catalyst?
I have been at Catalyst a little over a year as of early July.
How long have you worked in paid search & social and what type of clients have you worked on?
Catalyst is my first real job out of school, but I started gaining social media experience back in 2017. I had the good fortune of interning for a small agency while I was in school. While I was there, I spent my time doing social postings for small clients that ranged from auto repair shops to medical practices. Now I spend my time working across Amazon, search, and social for a consumer electronics brand and home appliance brand.
How did you get your start in paid search & social?
I had started learning and working with social while I was in college, but Catalyst feels like where I really got my start. Since being here I have had the opportunity to learn more about social strategies and execution, especially for enterprise clients.
What do you like most about working at Catalyst?
The overall environment is my favorite thing. I enjoy being surrounded by so many talented and awesome people. It allows me to grow and learn a little more each day.
What has been your greatest achievement or success in paid search & social?
My career is just getting started, so as of right now I’d say my greatest achievement has been joining the Catalyst team. Being part of a successful agency and being part of my specific teams, makes me proud. I feel like I am here at an exciting time and look forward to continuing to grow, learn, and succeed.
In your opinion, what is the most important paid search & social trend or change for 2020?
I’d say the implications of COVID. Whether you’re working across search, social, or some other form of marketing, the pandemic continues to impact advertising strategies. It’s interesting to watch and to help shift advertiser strategies and plans so they can continue to be successful during this dynamic time.
If you had to give one recommendation to an advertiser who wants to use search or social marketing to achieve business results, what would it be?
I would suggest constantly trying new things. You won’t really know the full potential of a new campaign unless you are constantly testing new ideas, and then taking those learnings to optimize the performance.
