Position: Marketing Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Marketing

Position Description

The Marketing Coordinator will be a key stakeholder on the Sales and Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Marketing, fully integrating with all team members. The Catalyst Sales and Marketing team is a small, face paced integrated team that is tasked with developing and promoting the best Search and Social opportunities to prospective Fortune 1000 brands. The team participates in thought leadership, events, publications, partnerships, and training across all capabilities and industry verticals. In this role, the Marketing Coordinator will have the opportunity to become immersed in the digital marketing strategies for some of the largest brands in the world.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting all marketing activities for Catalyst. The goal of this role is to help increase brand awareness for new Fortune 1000 client leads by supporting all aspects of thought leadership, brand awareness, and lead generation events. S/he will participate in marketing activities including events, email newsletters, website content, etc. This role also includes light administrative support for the Catalyst executive team.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with development and execution of digital marketing campaigns including paid search, organic search, paid social, organic social
  • Coordinating collateral/swag shipments to/from events and conferences
  • Coordinating printing needs for events and conferences
  • Entering lead contact information into MailChimp, as well as maintaining distribution lists
  • Developing, executing, and reporting on email marketing A/B tests
  • Creating and overseeing blog content calendar, collaborating with internal authors on content development, editing blog content as needed
  • Overseeing catering for client meetings, internal trainings, and vendor visits
  • Tracking marketing costs and expenses
  • Maintaining an inventory of Catalyst marketing materials, merchandise, and swag, replenishing/reordering when necessary
  • Providing support to the Sales team as needed

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional office setting
  • Energetic, upbeat, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, project manager, with the ability to independently problem solve
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
  • Strong interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of trust, confidence, and results
  • Previous marketing experience as well as tradeshow and/or event planning is preferred
  • The ability to write and communicate clearly; this is essential to the role and candidates should be prepared to produce examples if asked
  • Must be proactive and eager to work as member of a team and consistently demonstrate the ability to work independently and proactively with a positive attitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with WordPress and/or MailChmp is recommended
