Catalyst’s Must-See Picks at SMX Advanced 2016

SMX Advanced is happening in Seattle this week from Wednesday, 6/22, to Thursday, 6/23, and we could not be more excited. Catalyst is a conference sponsor and our team will be outside of the Bay Auditorium at the Bell Harbor Convention Center for both days of the conference. Make sure to visit our table to say hello and to pick up some Catalyst swag!

We’re also looking forward to the conference sessions and events. Here we’ll preview the two-day event and tell you what SMX Advanced sessions you don’t want to miss!

Day 1: Mobile PPC Suckage and Paid Search/Paid Social Dynamic Duo

The standout session from Day 1 is “Your Mobile PPC Sucks (But It Doesn’t Have To).” With the non-stop growth of mobile and the latest AdWords update that allows you to set actual mobile bids (as opposed to having mobile bids as a percentage of desktop bids), this should be a very useful session that will leave you feeling confident about the way you launch and manage mobile campaigns.

The second event on Day 1 that you should not miss is “Using Paid Search & Social Together to Deliver the Ultimate Knock-Out Punch.” Given the complexities of today’s digital landscape, it is increasingly important to integrate search and social efforts if for no other reason than added efficiency.  Also, combining the “push factor” of social media and the “pull factor” of paid search goes a long way in helping your clients achieve their business goals.

Day 2: Compelling Keynotes Washed Down by a Networking Bash

Looking forward to Day 2, the go-to events are obviously the two keynote conversations by Google and Bing. The first conversation by Google’s Director of Search Ads Quality, Sundeep Jain, is a chance to get a deeper look at what’s new with Google Ads. With Google’s Annual Performance summit occurring only a few weeks ago, this is a great opportunity to hear more about some of the updates that will be rolling out soon.

The second keynote by Bing’s General Manager of Global Search Sales and Service, Lynne Kjolso, will be an opportunity for Bing to show attendees why Bing is a compelling alternative to Google.

Finally, closing out Day 2 is the “Closing Night Bash” at The Garage. After two days of hard work and networking, kick-back, and relax with your peers!

See you all in Seattle and remember to visit with Catalyst while you’re at the show!
