How long have you worked at Catalyst?

I have been working at Catalyst for four years.

How long have you worked in search and what type of clients have you worked on? 

I’ve worked in search for 8 years and have worked with clients across many industries including: CPG, financial, luxury, automotive, local, and more.

How did you get your start in search?

I had previously worked in traditional advertising when I started to learn more about search. I found a small agency to get my feet wet and never looked back!

What do you like most about working at Catalyst?

I find that there is so much opportunity to learn and engage with clients across so many industries. My co-workers are great and I’m surrounded by incredible talent that keeps me motivated.

What has been your greatest achievement or success in search?

It is hard to pick the greatest achievement. Every day we are finding new ways to improve client performance and drive traffic through all channels. I really enjoy being able to work with the paid search teams to reduce costs, but also improve organic performance and conversions.

In your opinion, what is the most important search trend or change for 2019?

The landscape is always changing and it’s exciting to see what we should be looking at next. For 2019, I think it’s important to focus on both technical SEO and testing.

If you had to give one recommendation to an advertiser who wants to use search or social marketing to achieve business results, what would it be?

Test, test, test! Be smart about your testing and you will find the most effective method of achieving business results.

I have a tattoo of my dog wearing an astronaut helmet on my arm. His nickname is “SonDog” in our home.
